Brian Stone
Brian Stone, also known as B Stone, is a US pop, R&B and hip-hop artist and beat producer. He is born in the United States in 1991 and is identified in the biography as Anthony Jean Tornero, with Los Angeles, California given as his place of birth.
Background
He grows up as a mixed African American and Mexican Latino artist and describes an early life shaped by family conflict. He is forced to live on his own from the age of 18 and begins to focus seriously on music at 19.
Music and influences
Stone is influenced by a wide range of artists across pop, R&B and hip-hop, including Destiny's Child, Nelly, Dr. Dre, Eve, No Doubt, Beyoncé, TLC, T.I., Missy Elliott, Keyshia Cole, E-40, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj, Drake, 112, Rihanna and T. Mills. He also presents music, art and poetry as parts of his creative work.
He starts by writing lyrics and making remixes of mainstream tracks. His first remix is Run The World Freestyle, based on Beyoncé's Run the World (Girls), followed by a remix of Missy Elliott's Ching-A-Ling.
Release history
He later works with a close friend known as Majestic, identified as Travis Scott, who helps produce some of his music. Together they develop his poem Sweet Dreams into a song, using a beat by Vybe & MigL called Live It Up. This becomes the first original song he releases under his own name.
He then releases All Up In Yo Face - Reloaded, a mixtape or album with 12 tracks that reaches 1,754 downloads in its first week. His debut EP, The Hyena is Loose, is described as a planned free release.
