The Big Green Cardigan The Big Green Cardigan

The Big Green Cardigan Header

2015 will mark the 5th Big Green Cardigan Festival. Some of you have been every single year and others are still finding out about it. So what is it all about?

Great Artists - doesn’t matter if I haven’t heard of them, let’s discover someone new.

Big Green Cardigan is not family friendly, if that’s what you are looking for there are plenty of alternatives out there. It is over 18s only and aim for a hassle-free, relaxed end of summer vibe. Have a glass of our 'Green Cardigan' ale brewed just for us by Franklins Brewery and chill in the late summer sun and enjoy the Big Green Cardigan.

And what's On? Lots of music, no distinctive style, the theme is there is no theme. Any style is possible from blues to klezmer to jazz, but it will all be of a high standard, real music, real musicians. No tribute acts. No Karaoke artist. Just Check out the Artist page to see who is performing. There will be a few other things going on but principally it’s a music festival so there’s music.

The are no cars in the festival field or the camp site.

Dogs are not allowed into the festival except for guide dogs (and the resident farm dogs!)

The bar is open more or less all the time stocked with local real ales and cider , award winning local wine and even maybe a lager too. So No alcohol to be brought into the festival field as the bar helps pay for the festival.

When we say intimate we mean it, hundreds not thousands so tickets do go very fast.

Come and discover the music, you may not know the acts but feel the quality.

And why is it called The Big Green Cardigan?

Well that’s another story...
