About Country on the Castle
Tonbridge Castle’s bailey lawn puts the event inside the town’s historic castle grounds. Country on the Castle 2027 is a country and americana music day event at Tonbridge Castle, Tonbridge, near Tunbridge Wells. The bailey lawn has a music-festival capacity of up to 1,750.
The format is built around live country music, line dancing and an all-ages day on the castle site. It is a compact town-centre festival rather than a camping weekender.
Lineup and Programme
The Tonbridge Castle stage is the named arena for the music. The bill leans country and country-pop, with live tribute acts rather than original artists and a live line-dancing show.
Away from the stage, the programme includes line dancing, a rodeo bull and Wild West games. There are also a kids’ bungee attraction, s’mores by the fire pit, American street food and licensed bars on site.
Who Is It For?
Country on the Castle is billed as family friendly and all ages. Under-18s must attend with a responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times.
Babies, children and adults use separate ticket types. The family pitch shows in the kids’ bungee attraction and Wild West games, with s’mores by the fire pit also part of the day.
The Venue and Site
The festival uses Tonbridge Castle’s bailey lawn and castle grounds in the town centre. The grounds are wheelchair-accessible, with toilets, disabled toilets and ground-floor facilities available.
Free water refill stations are on site. Inside the castle tour, access is limited by steep stairs and by narrow, uneven interior routes.
