The 31st Luxury Soul Weekender takes place from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 January 2027 at The Grand Hotel, Blackpool, on North Promenade, as an over-18s soul music weekender.

The event was founded in 2003 as an alternative to holiday-park oriented events. The first listed Luxury Soul Weekender was Blackpool 2003 at the Hilton, with Dennis Taylor, Howard Johnson, Angela Johnson and Donna Gardier.

The listed 2027 weekend pass price is £99 + fees, and the event has a listed daily capacity of 900.

Lineup and Programme

More than 30 DJs are listed for the 2027 programme, spread across 4 rooms.

The music policy covers soul, rare groove, Philly, Motown, Salsa Soul, Soulful Dance, Connoisseur Throwbacks, Jazz Funk, Modern Soul Floorfillers, Nu-Soul Flavas, lovers Rock, Soulful Ska, 80s Boogie and Old Skool Anthems.

A Saturday-night live concert is part of the weekend. The official homepage says live artist information will be announced later.

Over 18s only applies to the event.

The audience is an adult soul-music crowd, with the programme aimed at fans of soul, Motown, jazz-funk, rare groove and related dance-floor styles. No family or child attendance is listed.

The Venue and Site

The Grand Hotel Blackpool is on the North Promenade Sea Front at FY1 2JQ.

The venue was formerly the Blackpool Hilton Hotel and has 278 guest rooms and 11 meeting rooms. Facilities listed for the hotel include an on-site restaurant and bar, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and leisure facilities with an indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room.
