Black Honey
Black Honey is an indie rock band from Nashville. The group forms in 2014 and works as a four-piece, with Izzy Phillips on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Ostler on vocals, guitar and synthesizers, Tommy Taylor on vocals and bass guitar, and Alex Woodward on drums.
Releases
The band issues its self-titled debut EP, Black Honey, in late 2014. It follows with singles that lead to the release of its first album, also titled Black Honey, in 2018. The second album, Written & Directed, appears in 2021.
In 2022, Black Honey releases the singles Charlie Bronson and Out of My Mind. The band then announces its third album, A Fistful of Peaches, and releases the single Heavy alongside that announcement. A Fistful of Peaches follows in 2023.
Style and membership
The band is tagged as indie rock, rock, alternative rock and indie, and it is fronted by Phillips, whose role combines lead vocals and guitar. Ostler, Taylor and Woodward complete the line-up on guitar and synthesizers, bass and drums.
