UK Festival Awards - One Week Till Showtime

Festival Crowd Header

Just one week left until UK Festival Awards & Conference 2015 - limited tickets for both events still on sale WOMAD Founder Peter Gabriel to receive Outstanding Contribution To Festivals Award.

The 12th edition of the prestigious UK Festival Awards & Conference – hosted by Fun Lovin’ Criminal and Radio 6 DJ Huey Morgan – takes place next week on November 26th at iconic London venue The Roundhouse in Camden.

The UK Festival Awards is an opportunity to recognise the hard work, vision and creativity of the festival industry, through fan voting and expert judging panels. Since launching in 2004 it has evolved into a major event at The Roundhouse in London, giving the industry a chance to let its collective hair down and fondly reflect upon the achievements of the past year.

With a gourmet dinner, gala awards ceremony and after-show party, it attracts over 1,000 of the most influential people in the business. Over half a million votes were cast last year, making it the benchmark by which festivalgoers rate their experiences, and a coveted prize for organisers.

Awards include Best Major, Medium-Sized and Small Festival, Best Family Festival, Best Overseas Festival, Best Headline Performance, and of course – Best Toilets! Festivals shortlisted across the 23 categories include Bestival, Latitude, Creamfields, Reading & Leeds, Bloodstock, Festival Number 6, Snowbombing, and many more. Two new categories for this year’s edition are Best Non-Music Festival and Best Hospitality.

The shortlists for the Awards can be viewed here.

The Outstanding Contribution to Festivals Award will this year be granted to Peter Gabriel, who has remained a festival industry luminary since founding WOMAD in 1982.

Preceding the evening's Awards, the UK Festival Conference will bring together some of the biggest names in the music and festival industries to engage in discussions across the topics of Cashless Technology, CDM Regulations, Event Curation, Welfare, and Sustainability. The full Conference programme - including panellists and synopses - can be viewed here.

Tickets for the UK Festival Awards & Conference are available here. Also included in the ticket price is a three-course gala dinner, lunch (courtesy of Guerrilla Eats), drinks & networking session, and after party presented by Continental Drifts.
