Who's in the Slam Dunk 2027 second wave?

The 18 new names are Billy Talent, Cobra Starship, Superheaven, Joyce Manor, The Paradox, Amira Elfeky, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Family Business Ltd, Ben Quad, Games We Play, Super Sometimes, Shoreline, Car Underwater, The Pretty Wild, Novelists, BLACKGOLD, Future Palace and The Haunt.

It's a drop that plays straight to Slam Dunk's strengths: a hefty dose of noughties nostalgia, a run of fast-rising newer bands and a heavier contingent to keep the pits busy.

Billy Talent and Cobra Starship lead the charge

Canadian punk-rock heavyweights Billy Talent return for their second Slam Dunk appearance, armed with more than two decades of anthems. With "Red Flag", "Fallen Leaves" and "Try Honesty" in the catalogue, few bands on the bill can match them for a mass singalong.

The real curveball is Cobra Starship. The band behind "Good Girls Go Bad" and "Snakes On A Plane" are back on UK soil for the first time in 17 years, and this is an exclusive UK appearance, only at Slam Dunk. Late-2000s pop-punk favourites Forever The Sickest Kids join them, so if you spent 2009 in skinny jeans and a side fringe, clear the diary.

Emo, alt and the next generation

Superheaven make their Slam Dunk debut with their 90s-inspired grunge and alt-rock, while Joyce Manor bring the emotionally charged songwriting and chaotic live shows that have earned them cult status among punk and emo fans.

The Paradox are one of the fastest-rising bands on the bill. Formed in 2024, they went from viral sensation to Warped Tour in under a year and have caught the attention of Travis Barker and Jack White. Amira Elfeky gives nu-metal a gothic edge and arrives with breakout track "Tonight".

Midwest emo meets pop-punk with Ben Quad, who come in off the back of second album Wisher and their first UK headline tour. Games We Play, signed to Pete Wentz's DCD2 Records, are best known for viral hit "I Hope You're Happy", and Super Sometimes arrive fresh from debut album Show the World What's Underneath.

German emo-punks Shoreline bring big, anthemic choruses, and Car Underwater, featuring members of Photographic Memory, Wisp and Ghostemane, make their Slam Dunk debut following EP Dagger Breaks Window. Ska gets a fresh face too, with new collective The Family Business Ltd landing a slot after their self-titled debut on Hellcat Records.

The heavier end of the bill

Las Vegas sisters Jyl and Jules Wylde, better known as The Pretty Wild, bring their nu-metal and debut album zero.point.genesis. Parisian metalcore band Novelists, masked nu-metallers BLACKGOLD and Berlin post-hardcore outfit Future Palace, whose latest album is Resurgence, add more weight, and Florida rock band The Haunt complete the wave.

Who else is playing Slam Dunk 2027?

The second wave joins a first announcement led by Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan and Killswitch Engage, alongside Beartooth, Sleeping With Sirens, The Used, The Front Bottoms, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and The Interrupters. Catch up on the full first wave here. More names are still to be announced.

Can you camp at Slam Dunk 2027?

Yes, and it's a first. Slam Dunk has never offered camping before, but for 2027 there's a limited number of pitches at both Leeds and Hatfield, so you can wake up a short walk from the gates.

  • North campsite (Leeds Temple Newsam): around 1.5km, or a 15 to 20-minute walk, from the main entrances. Open from 4pm on Friday 28 May until 12pm on Sunday 30 May.
  • South campsite (Hatfield Park): around 750m, or a 10-minute walk, from the main entrances. Open from 4pm on Saturday 29 May until 12pm on Monday 31 May.
  • Options: standard camping, campervan pitches with or without power, and pre-pitched tents from Tangerine Fields. There's also a dedicated accessible campsite.
  • Need to know: the campsites are strictly over-18s, every camper needs a camping ticket on top of their festival ticket, and all parking and campervan pitches must be booked in advance.

Camping tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 23 October. Full details are on the official Slam Dunk camping page.

How do I get Slam Dunk 2027 tickets?

VIP tickets have already sold out, and the festival says remaining tickets for both Leeds and Hatfield are selling fast. They're on sale now via slamdunkfestival.com.

Between Cobra Starship's only UK show in 17 years and camping arriving for the first time, Slam Dunk 2027 is already shaping up to be a big one, and there are still more acts to come. If you want a pitch, set an alarm for Friday morning.
