Prince Drops Incendiary New Single 'HARDROCKLOVER'

'The whole song a towering, piano-sprinkled testament to Prince's penchant for literally screaming guitars and implicit sexuality'

Following on the recently released protest song 'Baltimore', Prince has dropped another new single, the sensational 'HARDROCKLOVER', which is hitting this summer in the UK, impact date August 28th. 'HARDROCKLOVER' is a classic summer-night jam brimming with sensual vocals backed by heavy screaming guitar and incendiary bass. The epic song can be streamed now via Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL's official Soundcloud page.  After the track was unexpectedly posted online in the early morning hours of July 1st, 'HARDROCKLOVER' has garnered excited reaction from fans and media around the world.

The NME described the track as, "The best song Prince has recorded since his guerrilla gig rampage last year, 'HARDROCKLOVER' is a moody slab of Kanye-esque martial funk… filthy, bombastic Prince it's good to have you back."

The Guardian added: "Prince is back to his old sensual self 'ripping jeans' and 'making women scream' on this minimal slowjam'." Meanwhile The Line of Best Fit said, "The track flits between slower sections with lounge pianos and a low croon, before swiftly erupting into a feral beast of lust, yowling guitars and slinky funk bass. It's an impressive surprise from Prince". Gigwise described it as "epic" and Rolling Stone called it "wild".

Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL performed live on the now legendary 'Hit & Run' tours of the UK in 2014 – electrifying performances in a series of historic small venues, leading The Guardian to declare "These are performances by one of the greatest funk-rock bands ever." The group was showered in 5-star reviews from all major reviewing media.

As well as the UK Hit & Run tours, the past twelve months have seen the music icon release two albums, 'ARTOFFICIALAGE and the debut from Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL, 'PLECTRUMELECTRUM'; guest star on hit comedy show 'New Girl'; perform the longest ever musical set on 'Saturday Night Live'; headline and curate the Essence Festival; and latterly take the Hit & Run tour to North America, hosting an impromptu RALLY 4 PEACE event in Baltimore, and performing sold-out last minute shows in Louisville, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal and Washington, DC.

As always with Prince, the rest of 2015 will be full of surprises and the unexpected!
