The Vale Earth Fair is held by a group of volunteers who have given up their free time to organise the festival. The charity event donates their profits to organisations such as The Burma Campaign UK, Free Tibet and Bridge2Haiti. As it takes place in Guernsey the festival promotes music and art there and the community events which take place aim to raise funds and awareness for humanitarian causes. The festival recycles everything that they can, sell and provide vegetarian food and use local suppliers.
It is considered to be the Channel Islands' longest running music festival.
