About Burn It Down Festival
Burn It Down Festival 2027 returns to The Foundry, Torquay, as an indoor alternative music event built around heavier adjacent scenes.
The festival started in 2018 on Torwood Street, using The Foundry, The Attic and The Apple & Parrot. Everything sits on one street. It won Best Micro Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2023 and Best Metropolitan Festival in 2024.
Who Is It For?
Alternative, emo, hardcore punk, punk, shoegaze, rock and metal set the audience profile. The 14+ rule points it toward older teens and adults rather than a family crowd.
Under-16s must attend with an adult, and ID is requested.
The Venue and Site
The Scala building anchors the indoor harbourside site centred on The Foundry. The festival runs across The Foundry, The Attic and The Apple & Parrot, with a stated combined venue-complex capacity of 3,000.
Wristband re-entry links the rooms. Facilities include food stalls and bars serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a cloakroom, a merch hall and an indoor skate park next to the Apple & Parrot. The festival is 100% vegan, with gluten-free options available.
A welfare and medical area, accessible toilet, accessible rear entrance and limited seating are listed at the venue.
