Upton Jazz festival
Upton Upon Severn International Jazz Festival is in its 30th year in 2015 and it’s a time to celebrate. With three days of jazz music to enjoy, covering a wide range of genres and styles, the festival incorporates everything from contemporary to swing and traditional jazz and even a touch of Dixieland and ragtime. The festival is held beneath the Malvern Hills and incorporates parades and church service as well as concerts.
This year’s programmes includes 60 concerts, two parades and a church service and acts who are confirmed include Alan Barnes, Alligator Gumbo, Annie Hawkins’ Jazzmen, Carl Sinclair’s Boogie Band, Chris Pearce Quartet, Craig Milverton Trio, Dixie Strollers, FB Pocket Orchestra, Graham Hughes Quartet, Hot Banana, Hotsy Totsy, Jamie Brownfield, Jazzaholics, John Hallam, Keith Nichols Hot Six, Harlem Madness, Kevin Grenfell’s Jazz Giants, Malcolm Sked, Matthias Seuffert (Germany), Moscow Drug Club, Nick Ward, Old Hat Jazz Band, Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band and many more.
