Corpus Delicti

Corpus Delicti

Corpus Delicti is the name of two distinct bands. The best-known is a gothic rock group formed in Nice, France, in 1992. Its line-up includes Sebastien on vocals, Jerome on guitar, Chrys on bass and Roma on drums. In five years, the band releases four studio albums and two compilations on Cleopatra for the United States. Their records become hard to find for a period, then are re-issued on the French label D-Monic Records. Corpus Delicti tours widely, with shows in France, Germany, the UK, the USA, Spain and Italy. The band breaks up in 1997 and reunites in 2020.

The other Corpus Delicti is an American post-punk band, probably from the Hollywood area. That line-up includes R.J.V. on vocals, guitar and synthesizer, John Orloff on guitar, Mike Payan on bass, Cesar Fernandez on drums and Jeff Johnson on saxophone. They release a 12-inch single, The Joy of Living, in 1984.
