At Hafod-y-Dafal Farm in Ebbw Vale, Wales, Steelhouse Festival 2027 runs as a rock music festival across classic rock, hard rock and metal.

The event started in 2011. Its official site describes Steelhouse as the UK’s highest music festival, set on a mountain-top working farm in the Welsh Valleys.

Capacity is approximately 5,000 per day. A Weekend Single Ticket is listed at £165.

Lineup and Programme

The programme is built around live rock performances in the Main Arena. Acoustic sets run at the Planet Rock Acoustic Stage, also listed as the Planet Rock Acoustic Tent.

After the stage closes, rock DJ sets continue in the beer tent. Camping and glamping sit alongside the arena programme on site.

Who Is It For?

Steelhouse is aimed at rock fans, with the festival positioning itself for families and groups of friends as well as a loyal audience from the UK and Europe.

Children under 4 attend free. Ages 4–14 have a reduced arena ticket and must be accompanied by an adult at all times; under-18s cannot attend alone, and Challenge 21 operates on site.

Camping is divided into adult-only, family, glamping, accessible/live-in vehicle, and campervan/live-in vehicle areas. Glamping guests have access to VIP-bar facilities, with luxury toilets, showers, a kitchen and pamper-parlour facilities listed for the glamping area.

Site facilities include toilets cleaned at regular intervals, hot showers, free drinking water, food vendors in the arena and campsite service area, and medical and welfare facilities in the First Aid tent. Accessible toilets are listed in the arena and accessible campsite.

Travel Info

Hafod-y-Dafal Farm sits near Aberbeeg and Ebbw Vale in the Welsh Valleys, less than an hour by road from Cardiff and Bristol.

• Nearest station: Ebbw Vale Parkway, with an official shuttle bus to the site.
• From the M4: use junction 28, take the A467, then turn left onto the A4046 toward Ebbw Vale.
• From the A465: use the Ebbw Vale roundabout, then take the A4046 signed Newport.
• Parking: on-site car parking is £20 per vehicle in advance or £25 on arrival; motorbikes and Blue Badge holders park free.
• Vehicle tickets: cars, caravans, motorhomes and camper vans require separate tickets.
