This three-day village festival, on the edge of the beautiful South Pennines in West Yorkshire, features some of the very best performers in traditional music, song and dance from Britain and beyond. Headline artists for 2017 are Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, Moulettes, Coope Boyes and Simpson. There are 30 other artists including Nordic Fiddlers Bloc from Scandinavia and East Pointers from Canada. But Shepley Spring Festival really is a great deal more than simply a folk festival. Voted ‘Village Festival of the Year’ in 2012, the local community has embraced the event enthusiastically to make it a really friendly, family weekend with a huge range of things to entertain everyone. Venues and pubs around Shepley village will host dance displays, music, dance and song sessions and workshops plus a full programme of children's activities.
