Started in 2007, the Overground Festival began as a fantastic four day free festival offering a platform for the diverse, creative and talented community of Crystal Palace to perform and enjoy live music, art and performances. Visitors from across London and beyond are invited to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and the main festival is also boosted by fringe events in the days running up to it.
In 2015 it is the 9th Crystal Palace Overground Festival and it runs from 24th until 28th June with many fringe events to start the festival. It’s a celebration of local live music, poetry, theatre, film, comedy and fashion. The programme includes Metamono Presents Analogue Occurrences with Alex Paterson of the Orb, DJ MamaSutra, Mary Leay, The Higher Planes, Freddie Calls, Angel Silvera & Band, String Fever, John Blood & The Highlys, Ma Gras. Massive Dynamic, The Lovebirds, The Fallen Heroes, and more. It ends on the Sunday with the popular Vintage Up the Palace event.
