About Liberty Music Festival
Liberty Music Festival reached roughly 5,000 people by its third year. For 2027 it runs on 3-4 July in Thurles Town Park, just off Liberty Square, as a two-day music festival built around pop, rock, 1980s music and tribute acts. It began in 2022.
The bill leans towards tribute bands rather than original-artist touring. Food vendors, licensed bars and fun-fair attractions sit around the live music. Weekend tickets are €60.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is set up for families as well as music fans coming for the tribute-band bill. Under-18s are admitted only with an adult aged 18 or over, and under-12s need a ticket.
Seating is informal. A small number of picnic tables are available, and folding chairs can be brought onto the site.
The Venue and Site
Thurles Town Park puts the arena in the town centre, just off Liberty Square. Entry is from the Cathedral Street side, with Emmet Street used as exit-only.
The site has food stalls, a licensed bar, security, wheelchair-accessible access and family attractions. Camping, glamping, campervan, caravan, microvan and motorhome options run through nearby sites, with shuttle buses linking them to the festival.
