About Greenfields Festival

Greenfields began near Athy in 2022. Greenfields Festival returns in 2027 as a music festival at Ballykilcavan Estate, Stradbally, Co Laois, the site it moved to in 2026. Capacity is 5,000.

The 2027 edition runs from 30 April to 2 May.

Lineup and Programme

The programme is built around live music across five stages, with over 90 acts billed for 2027. Country Stage is a named stage, and the genre brief runs across all genres of music.

Kids Fest sits on the programme. The food village, funfair rides and festival art installations sit alongside the music.

Who Is It For?

Greenfields is set up for an all-ages, family-friendly crowd. Teen-ticket holders must be accompanied by someone over 18. Adult weekend and day ticket holders can bring up to two under-12s, and over-18s need photographic ID.

The Venue and Site

Ballykilcavan Estate, at Stradbally in Co Laois, became the festival site in 2026. Camping is on site. Family camping sits alongside campervan and caravan parking; Pitched Perfect handles glamping.

There are luxury shower and toilet facilities, covered seating at the food village and full bar service. Car parks are on the festival site and parking is free. There is a lost and found office.

Travel to Greenfields Festival

Ballykilcavan Estate sits at Stradbally in Co Laois, with Portlaoise and Athy the nearest railheads.

• Rail: Portlaoise railway station is about 9 minutes by taxi from Stradbally. Athy railway station is another nearby railhead, around 13 km by road.
• Road: Access is via the R428 Athy Road / Stradbally–Athy road through Ballykilcavan, with the N80 at The Green, Stradbally. M7 Junction 17 / Portlaoise is used in shuttle routing.
• Parking: Car parks are on the festival site and parking is free.
• Nearby towns and cities: Portlaoise is 11 km by road, Athy is 13 km, Carlow is 27 km and Kilkenny is 50.6 km.
