Hebden Bridge Blues Festival 2011 will be Hebden Bridge's first blues Festival and will be held over the bank holiday weekend of May 27-30. The festival will be spread over a number of venues such as the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge Picture House, Calder Homes Park as well as some local pubs and bars who will be putting on bands. Highlights include the first UK appearance of the American Blues star Lance Lopez on Saturday, the up and coming 24 Pesos on Sunday and a "Women of Blues" night at the Hebden Bridge Picture House, also on Sunday, featuring Chantel McGregor with support from Clare Free and Hooson. Some of the events will be free, including an Open Mic session in the Trades Club on Monday 30th and and Acoustic Stage in the Hope Baptist Church on the afternoons of Saturday 28 and Sunday 29th. With other events, the price will vary from between £10 and £20, but if you book in advance and book multiple events in one go, it will be a good bit cheaper.
