About Beyond The Pale
Beyond The Pale 2027 runs from 11–13 June at Glendalough Estate, Co. Wicklow, as a three-day music festival spanning arts, food and wellness. The first edition took place on the same estate in 2022, and 2027 is billed by the organisers as the sixth annual edition. The reported daily capacity is 12,000.
Lineup and Programme
The programme spans electronic, indie, disco and club culture. Stage names listed by the organisers include Main Stage, Selective Memory, Cirrus Garden, Strawberry Fields, Púc Fada and Club Cúcu.
Away from the music stages, the weekend also covers arts and performance, food and dining, wellness sessions, forest foraging and family workshops. Yoga, saunas, hot tubs and massage sit within the wellness area.
Who Is It For?
The audience is adult-oriented, centred on boutique music, arts and food. It is still an over-21s event. Children 12 and under may attend only with a paying parent or guardian over 21, while ages 13–17 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian over 25.
All children over 3 need their own ticket; under-3s do not. The organisers run a family programme and a quieter family campsite area called Camp Badger.
The Venue and Site
Glendalough Estate puts the festival in a woodland, lakeside setting in the Glendalough valley, about 30 minutes from Dublin. The site has open skies, lakes and camping built into the weekend ticket.
All weekend tickets include general camping and parking. Camping formats cover general camping, boutique/glamping and caravan or campervan stays. Facilities include a dedicated accessible campsite and car park, accessible toilets and showers, elevated viewing platforms at the Main Stage and Selective Memory, and on-site medical tents with medication fridges and charging points for medical devices.
