About Craic by the Creek
Whitebottom Farm sits just beyond Etherow Country Park, outside Stockport. For 2027, Craic by the Creek returns to Whitebottom Farm, Stockport from 16-18 July as a music festival centred on Irish music. The inaugural edition ran in July 2021 after the planned 2020 start was postponed.
The debut sold out with 3,000 people in the crowd, far above the roughly 500 initially expected. By 2023, the festival had reached its third instalment.
Lineup and Programme
The bill leans into Irish music, then moves through country and Americana, traditional folk, bluegrass and pop. Live music runs across the weekend on the O'Rourke Stage.
Camping and glamping sit alongside the music programme. The weekend also has food vendors, market stalls and a bar.
Who Is It For?
The event is primarily aimed at adults, with Irish music fans and mixed-age groups at its centre. Children can attend when supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Under-18s wear an under-18 wristband carrying the adult's contact number. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Venue and Site
Whitebottom Farm is in Compstall, Greater Manchester, close to Etherow Country Park. The site has camping, glamping and live-in vehicle options, including motorhome and caravan access.
Facilities include toilets, showers, phone charging, a glamping pamper tent with mirrors, hairdryers and straighteners, and a luggage bus for camping equipment. Caravans and motorhomes do not get electric hook-up.
