AfriKàBa started October 2010 in Hastings, Southeast England. It was conceptualised and delivered by Gwyneth Wint of ARTDev (Artistic, Creative, and Professional Development) and supported by funding from Arts Council England and Hastings Borough Council.
AfriKàBa is an annual festival which showcases African and Caribbean artists which hail from across all genres. The festival works with schools, colleges, academies and libraries in order to engage children and young people in the culture, richness and diversity of Africa.
This year's event features an exclusive headlining performance by legendary Malian guitarist Habib Koité + Surahatta Susso.
