Superheaven
Superheaven is an American alternative rock and post-hardcore band from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The group begins in 2008 and is formerly known as Daylight, changing its name to Superheaven because of legal copyright issues. The name changes, but the band continues with the same members and the same approach to writing and performing.
Line-up
The band consists of Taylor Madison on guitar and vocals, Jake Clarke on guitar and vocals, Joe Kane on bass, and Zack Robbins on drums.
Sound and background
Superheaven draws on alternative bands of the 1990s and punk bands of the 1980s, while adding a contemporary edge. The band is associated with grunge, alternative rock, post-grunge, shoegaze and rock, alongside its core alternative rock and post-hardcore sound.
Releases
The group’s recorded output includes the self-released Demo EP in 2008, Sinking on Get This Right Records in 2009, Dispirit on Six Feet Under Records in 2010, Run For Cover Acoustic Series #3 on Run For Cover Records in 2011, The Difference In Good and Bad Dreams on Run For Cover Records in 2012, Jar on Run For Cover Records in 2013, and Ours Is Chrome on SideOneDummy Records in 2015.
The band also releases the Superheaven LP on Blue Grape Music in 2025.
