Hong Kong Ping Pong is a one-man act from Cornwall, England. The project centres on DJing and mix tape production, with sets and recordings that combine a wide range of material into a single flow. The mixes draw on classic songs and add comedy excerpts from films, including Zoolander and Shaun of the Dead.

Style and activity

The act is associated with breaks, funk, ghetto funk and funky breaks, and the wider musical approach is eclectic. It includes breaks, dubstep, hip hop and other unexpected influences. Hong Kong Ping Pong also performs in and around Cornwall.

Associated performers

The project is linked with DJs Morphosis and Fat Harry, who help build Hong Kong Ping Pong as a live night in the South West. As it develops, the wider HKPP family includes DJ Spinforth, described as a hip hop and scratch DJ, and Speedy Gonzalez, a conga percussionist.
