Gaz Brookfield

Gaz Brookfield is a Bristol-based solo acoustic musician whose work sits in folk and singer-songwriter territory. He wins Acoustic magazine’s 2010 Singer Songwriter of the Year and then builds a career through extensive touring in the UK and Europe.

Live work and touring

Brookfield is known for a heavy live schedule, with over 1,000 gigs to his name and as many as 200 performances in a year. He plays across the country and beyond, and shares stages with artists including The Levellers, Frank Turner, New Model Army, Nick Harper, Newton Faulkner, Miles Hunt and Seth Lakeman.

Festivals and venues

He performs at more than 100 UK festivals, among them Glastonbury, Beautiful Days and Bearded Theory. He also becomes the only unsigned solo artist to sell out The Fleece in Bristol, achieving that five times, with the last three sell-outs happening more than six months in advance.

Recordings

His studio album I Know My Place is part of his recorded output and is available on CD, on limited edition 12-inch vinyl and digitally.
