Ezio

Ezio is a folk group from Cambridge, United Kingdom, active since 1990. The group is centred on singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist Ezio Lunedei, with Mark “Booga” Fowell on lead guitar, Lidia Cascarino on bass, Lee Russell on percussion and other instruments, and Alex Reeves on drums. The line-up varies depending on the venue, with some smaller shows featuring just Ezio Lunedei and Booga.

Style and activity

The group is associated with acoustic guitar-led material and folk songwriting. It develops a following through extensive touring and builds its audience largely outside the British mainstream music scene.

Releases

Ezio releases six studio albums, one compilation album, two live albums and three DVDs. The studio albums are The Angel Song, Black Boots on Latin Feet, Diesel Vanilla, Higher, The Making of Mr. Spoons and Ten Thousand Bars. Its compilation album is Lost and Found (Volume 2). The live albums are Live at the Shepherds Bush Empire and Live: Cambridge. The DVDs are Ezio Live, Live at the Shepherds Bush Empire and Live at the Junction.
