Electric Swing Circus

Electric Swing Circus are a British electro swing group based in Birmingham, England. They form in 2011 and remain active. Their line-up centres on Miss Bridget Walsh and Tom ESC, with the group working in the electro swing, nu jazz and swing styles.

Line-up and formation

The band first comes together in June 2011. The group’s members include vocalists Laura Louise and Bridget Walsh, Chandra Walker on drums and keyboard, Tom Hyland on guitar, Rashad Gregory on samples, MPC and synths, and Patrick Wreford on electric double bass and bass synth. Eleanor Rose is a former member, and her vocals appear on both the band’s preview EP and debut album.

Releases

Electric Swing Circus release a preview EP, Penniless Optimist, in 2011. Their self-titled debut album, Electric Swing Circus, follows in 2013. Eleanor Rose contributes vocals to both releases.
