New Lake Stage Line Up annoucement for Latitude 2015

Festival Crowd Header

Latitude returns for the 10th Edition, taking place from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th July 2015 in the stunning grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk. The festival has always prided itself in launching the most exciting names in new music.

Following the announcement of alt-J, Portishead and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as Obelisk Arena headliners, Latitude is excited to introduce some of the bands and artists tipped to be the next big things, who will be appearing on the Lake Stage this year. Handpicked by DJ and broadcaster Huw Stephens, the bill offers festival goers the opportunity to see the stars of the future in an intimate environment. Previous artists who have graced the stage before going on to win awards or headline venues across the nation include Sam Smith, The 1975, Clean Bandit, Bombay Bicycle Club, Metronomy and many more.

The phenomenal To Kill a King will headline the stage with their orchestrated folk music and exuberant choruses, alongside talented Scottish synthpop band Prides, whose widely energetic live show features hook-heavy, sing along epics and a canny undertow of complex emotional resonance burrowed into their instantly appealing future classics.

Also performing on the Lake Stage this year will be brotherly South London duo Formation, who will share their debut album ‘Waves’, a warm and soulful electronic mix of pop songs claiming influence from vintage disco and soul sounds. Welsh four-piece rock group Pretty Vicious will take to the stage with their adrenaline-shot sound, which has earned them comparisons to The Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines and the fire and brimstone of early Manic Street Preachers, and new Liverpudlian band Gulf will bring ravishing psychedelic pop drenched in reverb and melancholy, alongside psych-pop five piece Outfit and ambient electro-pop duo Aquilo,

Sundara Karma will set hearts racing with what NME have described as ‘a tropical kind of indie’, while French pop savant Petite Meller joins the line up with the catchy lyrics and ambient sounds that make her one of the most exciting musicians around. Leeds based artist Eaves will bring his unique style of song-writing and sonic landscapes, while the impressive Boxed In will delight the crowds with his piano-pinned dance-pop. Latitude is extremely pleased to welcome back Manchester based three piece Man Made with their blend of calm, spacious vocals layered over solid drums and jangling guitars.

Following the release of his new and ambitious EP ‘Outside Things’, Charlie Cunningham will perform his beautiful and honest song-writing with such percussive guitar playing that he truly stands out from the crowd. Proving he is more than just a man and a guitar, Charlie will soothe listeners in to a blissful hazy trance this summer. Bringing a little romance to Latitude this year will be HONNE, a duo inspired by classic soul and complex synths, upheld as the sound of the new even before their debut single has been officially released. East London singer-songwriter Denai Moore will blend nocturnal soul with lush folk guitars, her restrained vocal performance sure to mesmerise the audience at Latitude this year. Forecast to be one of the major live acts this summer, Clarence Clarity has serious stage presence and is guaranteed to deliver an epic performance. Named as one of NME’s artists to watch in 2015, Neon Waltz will bring a little magic to the Lake Stage this year, along with British singer songwriter Claire Maguire, rated in fifth place in the BBC Sound of 2011 list and compared to Stevie Nicks and Annie Lennox but with an Irish heritage and fascination with Americana, soul, and blues that have coalesced into a distinctive style of her very own.
