Aladdin: The Pantomime.

Festival Crowd Header
Aladdin

Resulting in last year’s pantomime being an absolute stellar of a show that was seen by over 90,000 members of the public, The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury was not going to falter in providing us with yet another established favourite.

Starting from November, the venue will be opening its doors to hold both matinee and evening performances of the classic tale, Aladdin.

With Cbeebie’s Phil Gallagher from Mister Maker as ‘Wishee Washee’ and Scott Maslen, who has had a variety of acting roles including in EastEnders and The Bill playing ‘Abanazar’, this production definitely stars some reputable names. And, while Ben Roddy is presented with the part of ‘Widow Twankey’, comedian Lloyd Hollett will be known as ‘PC Pongo’ in each staging.

In this very special season some of us may be in need of something extra to bring on that festive vibe, and this form of downright entertainment sure will. Along with flash outfits, writer and director Paul Hendy has brought-to-life more than two hours of fun that are jam-packed with spoken lines to make children giggle, teenagers chortle, adults laugh and, grandparents chuckle.

List this delightful viewing as the thing-to-see with your nearest and dearest in the lead-up to Christmas, or simply at the beginning of the arrival of 2015.

Aladdin will be shown at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from Friday 28th November 2014 – Sunday 11th January 2015.
