OnBlackheath returns with standout music line-up

Festival Crowd Header

OnBlackheath festival in partnership with John Lewis returns on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September with a standout music line-up to close London’s festival season.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday will be one of Britain’s best loved bands Travis, with a UK festival exclusive performance of their enduringly successful and classic album ‘The Man Who’. Travis follow electronic floor filler four-piece Metronomy. The now legendary indie rockers The Libertines will headline on Sunday, when American blues ace Seasick Steve, singer-songwriter Jake Bugg and the soulful KT Tunstall will also take to the main stage.

Saturday’s line-up also features American hip hop trio De La Soul, indie singer-songwriter Steve Mason, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club and London-based producer Rationale. On Sunday the festival will also see sets from New York City natives Fun Lovin’ Criminals and the hugely talented Chris Holland All Stars featuring special guest Marc Almond. Many more artists will be announced over the coming weeks and months.

Tickets will go on sale first to personal callers only at 8am on Friday 28th April from Blackheath Concert Hall box office, then on general release at 9am.

OnBlackheath has established itself as a landmark event in the London calendar and has previously seen the likes of Massive Attack, Grace Jones, Elbow, Madness, Manic Street Preachers and Primal Scream take the main stage by storm. Last year over 25,000 music and food lovers gathered to enjoy the end-of-season festival, across the two days.

As well as live music, OnBlackheath offers festival goers the ultimate festival weekend with mouth-watering food and drink and a fun-filled program of entertainment for all ages on the historic green space of London’s Blackheath.

The John Lewis Food Village will bring award-winning street food, communal dining, a food demonstration stage, guest chefs, pop-up restaurants and the local Meantime Craft Brewery Bar to Blackheath while children can explore the Family Playground featuring an adventure area, giant art walls, kids crafting, a storytelling stage, street theatre and much more still to be announced.

Tom Wates co-founder of OnBlackheath, commented: “We’re back with two days of unforgettable music, food and family entertainment this summer, celebrating this stunning part of London and bringing the festival season to a close.

With a stellar line-up to take the festival into its fourth year, this is one weekend you shouldn’t miss, and the best value festival ticket in London.”

OnBlackheath is presented in association with Crosstown Concerts
