Sigur Rós Announces Special 20th Anniversary Edition of Takk…

Sigur Rós has announced the release of a special 20th-anniversary edition of their critically acclaimed album, Takk… The band will be offering a limited edition 5x10” vinyl boxset, with only 3,000 copies available exclusively on their website. Additionally, 3x12” vinyl and CD formats will be in stores from September 26, coinciding with the digital release.

Five Rare Tracks Available Now

The reissue includes five rare tracks available for streaming and download. 'Takk… (20th Anniversary Remaster - B-sides & Extras)' features original b-sides from the 2006 Sæglópur EP release, along with two previously unreleased tracks, 'Melrakki' and 'Elfur.' A Dolby Atmos spatial mix of the album will also be released digitally on September 12th.

Orchestral World Tour 2025

As part of the celebration, Sigur Rós is embarking on a global orchestral world tour, featuring performances of their latest album, Átta, alongside classics from their extensive catalog, including Takk… The tour will span Europe, North America, and will conclude with two shows in Mexico City.
