UK MINI RAMP CHAMPS:

Wheels and Fins are also delighted, once again, to be hosting the 2018 UK Mini Ramps Champs. In 2017 we live streamed (alongside Bou Mou Productions) the championships globally to an audience of 270,000 live viewers and saw 2 million Facebook impressions of the competition in the first week alone after the event. Nic Powley of Skate Pharmacy will again oversee the judging with the help of Dan Cates (Death Skateboards) and ensure the smooth running of the event. This year we see the introduction on the women’s competition, which is something we are incredibly excited about. Lucy Adams of Skateboard England will oversee this and ensure fair play. If all that wasn't enough we also excited to announce the inclusion of a junior competition run by Sam Watling of Revolution Skatepark. Marc Churchell will, as always, be present as our live stream presenter and Ben Powell the Lord of Sidewalk Mag himself will be comp MC. King Ramps have once again excelled themselves in designing the ramp for this year and it looks rad. Last year we even had Mike Vallely swing by for a look!!! We don’t like to gloat but we have to say there is something pretty special when you have a ramp that over looks the sea!! Last year’s winners and current UK Mini Ramp Champion:

1st Alex Halford, 2nd Jordan Thackeray, 3rd Sam Pullley.

Prize Money: Mens - £2000.       Womens - £2000.           Juniors - Prizes

Named after the notorious smuggler Joss Snelling, Joss Bay beach in Broadstairs, offers one of the finest sandy beaches within an easy commute from all over the South East. It is also the closest recognised surf break to London. Over the summer months the beach plays hosts to thousands of surfers and visitors soaking up the sun and the mellow vibes. Located in such a beautiful rural setting and overlooking the ocean, Wheels and Fins can truly boast that summery, laid back vibe and has firmly cemented its place as an intimate, independent coastal event not to be missed.
