Loaded with one of the year’s biggest line-ups and an unmatched party spirit, Snowbombing 2018 is thrilled to announce Europe’s most adventurous festival expedition.

The Snowbombing 2018 Road Trip - Driven by BMW, is set to escort the most fun loving Snowbombers and their own vehicles from the UK to the Mayrhofen slopes.

A truly monumental festival moment, SB18 Road Trip - Driven by BMW will see a convoy of 150 cars embark on an unforgettable journey, winding its way across Europe through rolling French hills, German glades and picturesque Austrian vistas.

Beginning in a secret location in the UK at 8am on Saturday 7th April, the Snowbombing convoy are set to cover over 1000km as they drive to Dover, waving the white cliffs behind on a short fun-filled ferry trip to Calais before uncovering the hidden gems of mainland Europe. In true Snowbombing spirit, the Saturday night stop over in Saarbrücken, Germany will make time for a high-octane pit stop party featuring Bongo’s Bingo, before hitting the road again on Sunday morning with all eyes on Austria.

Arriving in Mayrhofen on Sunday afternoon, all road trippin’ Snowbombers will be greeted with a hero’s welcome in the form of the official Road Trip Arrival Procession - kicking off their festival experience with a carnival of carnage. Think street entertainment from The Provibers and Loud Noises marching band, plus celebratory games from Bongo’s Bingo, food from Hans the Butcher and the all-important Road Trip Awards where one lucky team can win a whole trip to Snowbombing 2019!

The Snowbombing Road Trip is neither a race nor rally, but an experiential adventure through Europe all the way to Mayrhoren slopes. Think camaraderie rather than competition. Enjoy the magical view out of the window as the huge convoy embarks upon the 2 day dash across four countries. Tickets are priced at £299 per car*, so get your squad together and get it booked, before climbing onto the bonnet and emitting an ape like howl of triumph!

Following on from last year’s fantastical freakadelic circus theme, the 2018 BMW Road Trip theme will be ‘Go For Gold’; a pure celebration of all things extravagant. Whether you’re inspired by record-breaking gold-medal winning Olympians such as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt or glamourous Oscar winners such as Tom Hanks, Natalie Portman and now Leonardo DiCaprio; all Snowbombing participants are heavily encouraged to deck themselves in everything 24K.

In keeping with the gold theme, Snowbombing 2018 are proud to announce BMW as the Road Trip’s official travel partner, who will be spearheading the Road Trip and showcasing the freshly released Galvanic Gold BMW X2. Ahead of the festival, BMW are giving Snowbombers the chance to win luxurious chauffeur driven trip to Snowbombing in one of the shiny X2s, these competitions will go live on air on Capital and Radio X from 12th Feb.
