Who is headlining Wychwood Festival 2027?
Supergrass take Friday night, and it's a booking the Wychwood crowd has been asking for for years. Expect a racecourse-wide bounce to 'Alright', 'Caught by the Fuzz' and 'Moving' from a band that still ranks among Britain's sharpest live acts.
The Human League headline Saturday. Their booking was the worst-kept secret of Wychwood 2026, when a plane towed a "Don't You Want Me Baby! See You In 2027?" banner over the site. A Sheffield synth-pop singalong under the Prestbury Hills should be one of the moments of next summer.
Who else is on the Wychwood 2027 line-up?
The undercard reads like the best indie disco playlist of the last 30 years. Razorlight, The Fratellis and Natalie Imbruglia sit just below the headliners, with Hard-Fi, Reverend & The Makers, Inspiral Carpets and Dodgy close behind. That's 'Chelsea Dagger', 'Torn', 'Living For The Weekend' and 'This Is How It Feels' all on one bill, which is going to be hard on the voice by Sunday.
New and local talent
For fresher sounds, London bands The Molotovs, Good Health Good Wealth and Toast Club join York country-pop singer-songwriter Twinnie, alongside Dub Catalyst. Local band Truck return to the Garden Stage after first playing in 2025 through Wychwood's Apply To Play scheme. "To be invited back for next year feels like coming home," the band said.
Tributes, comedy and late-night daftness
Wychwood's oddball streak is intact. Elvana (Elvis fronting Nirvana, essentially) are back, along with the Amy Winehouse Band, Talking Heads tribute Stop Making Sense Live, Noasis, Wickedly Ariana, comedy folk outfit The Lancashire Hotpots and festival regulars Thrill Collins. Hip Hop Karaoke, a Late Night Headphone Ceilidh, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Woody Cook, Duke, Malavita, The X & Y, Witney Soul Club, Play Your Cards Right and Tracey Collins Presents Fitbull round things off.
What's happening on Thursday night?
After the four-day format debuted for the 20th anniversary in 2026, Wychwood is opening on Thursday again. Reggae selector David Rodigan MBE and The Ordinary Boys kick things off on 3 June, and Thursday tickets are sold separately from the weekend.
When do Wychwood 2027 tickets go on sale?
The pre-sale opens at 10am on Thursday 5 November, with general sale at 10am on Friday 6 November. Day tickets will be available for 2027, and Wychwood uses tiered pricing, so the earlier you book, the less you pay. Don't hang about: over 50% of Weekend Camping tickets have already sold, the highest share the festival has ever shifted at this stage.
Is Wychwood Festival good for families?
It's hard to find a better one. Wychwood was named Family Festival of the Year at the UK Festival Awards 2025, under-10s go free, and the Village Green will host more than 100 workshops and family activities, plus a dedicated Children's Literature Festival. Comedy, arts and the full family programme will be announced later, along with the Sunday headliner, which is due before the end of 2026.
With two big headliners locked in and more to come, Wychwood 2027 is shaping up to be another cracking weekend in Cheltenham. Tickets and full details are on the official Wychwood Festival website.
