About Winter's End Progressive Rock Festival
The Drill Hall is a central Chepstow community and arts venue, set up for concerts with a seated capacity of 225. From 8-11 April 2027 it takes Winter's End Progressive Rock Festival, a progressive rock music festival built around original prog and prog-adjacent bands. The festival began in Dorset in 2017.
Weekend tickets are £195. The scale is closer to an indoor venue weekender than a field festival, with food service from All Seasons Catering and a bar serving cask ales and cider.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is the prog audience rather than a broad multi-genre weekender. Winter's End is aimed at fans of original progressive rock and prog-adjacent music, with the booking policy centred almost entirely on original material. It is small-room scale.
The Venue and Site
The Drill Hall, Lower Church Street, Chepstow NP16 5HJ is the site. Inside, the venue has a large stage with theatre lighting, a licensed bar and two dressing rooms with their own toilets.
Accessible toilets and wheelchair access are in place. There is also a covered bike rack next to the entrance, plus a kitchen and industrial dishwasher behind the public-facing food and drink setup.
