Established in 1994 by Top Mom Promotions and Jo Hampshire, Whitby Goth Weekend is an alternative music festival that has gone from strength to strength to become one of the biggest and most popular goth events in the calendar.
Live music is performed at the prestigious Spa Pavilion at West Cliff in the town. In addition to all the music, there is also the Bizarre Bazaar Alternative MArket with six different trading areas in Whitby, at the Whitby Brunswick Centre, Whitby Leisure Centre's Community Room, Sports Hall and the Theatre, Foyer and Exhibition Hall at the Spa Pavillion itself.
