About Valley Fest
The Community Farm sits above Chew Valley Lake, about 10 miles south of Bristol. For 2027, Valley Fest runs there from Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August as a four-day music festival with food built into the programme. The format grew from a traditional harvest festival founded by organic farmer Luke Hasell in 2014. The 2027 edition is the 12th, with the site set for 10,000 festival-goers.
Lineup and Programme
The bill ranges across folk, jazz, world, electronic/DJ and dance, while comedy and spoken word sit in the wider programme. Music runs on Lake Stage, SOS, Kaleidoscope and Regeneration. Food matters here. Long-table feasts and chef-hosted dinners sit alongside kids' workshops, play activity, talks, lakeside saunas, sunrise yoga and wild swimming.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is drawn from Bristol, Bath and the South West, with campers, families and food-led festivalgoers all built into the format. Families are central. Everyone on site needs a ticket, and under-18s must be with a ticket-holding adult. Adult weekend tickets are £124.99; 12-17 weekend tickets are £49.99, while the first two under-12s per order are free and additional under-12s are £19.99 each.
The Venue and Site
The site is The Community Farm, Denny Lane, Chew Magna, Bristol BS40 8SZ, on the shores of Chew Valley Lake. Camping is part of it. Weekend tickets include free tent camping; live-in vehicle passes, premium pre-pitched cabin tents and boutique bell tents are available. Every camping field has hot showers, with free basic showers and loos in general camping. Facilities include accessible toilets and showers, water refill points, phone charging by the info point and bars across the arena, with 24/7 first aid and welfare teams on site.
