About Outcider Festival
Outcider Festival 2027 is an 18+ music festival at Fernhill Farm, Cheddar Road, Compton Martin, Somerset, focused on alternative, indie, punk and rock.
2014 was the first listed edition at Fernhill Farm, with a daily capacity of 500. The official FAQ now lists the capacity as 499, keeping the event small-scale.
2020 was cancelled or postponed because of COVID-19, and the festival returned to Fernhill Farm in 2023. The 12th edition was listed for 30 July–2 August 2026.
Lineup and Programme
Over 35 acts are listed in the official FAQ for Outcider Festival.
The programme runs across two barn-covered stages: The Shearing Shed and The Agricultural Shed. The stages alternate with no clashes.
Alternative, indie, punk and rock are the confirmed genres. The programme also includes on-site camping, local cider and ales, spirits, soft drinks, and food provided by Fernhill Farm.
Who Is It For?
18+ is the entry rule for Outcider Festival, and under-18s are not admitted.
The audience is described as a grassroots music-and-cider crowd with a strong repeat-attendee base. It is aimed at adults with a preference for alternative, indie, punk and rock.
The Venue and Site
Fernhill Farm is a working regenerative farm in the Mendip Hills National Landscape, off the B3134 near the Castle of Comfort pub.
The farm is about 15 miles from Bristol, 10 miles from Bristol Airport, and 20 miles from Bath. Weekend tickets include tent camping, and live-in vehicles are allowed for an extra fee with no hookups.
Facilities include flush toilets and urinals, showers, a bar, Fernhill Farm food service, first-aid cover or local first response, parking, and a live-in vehicle area.
