About The Big Feastival

After starting on Clapham Common in 2011, The Big Feastival 2027 runs as a music festival at Alex James’ Farm, Kingham, Oxfordshire, with pop, indie, rock and house in its genre mix.

The move to Kingham came in 2012. West Oxfordshire licensing papers in 2017 described a planned site capacity of 25,000, after a staged rise to 22,500.

Lineup and Programme

The programme runs across Main Stage, The Outpost and The Big Kitchen. Music sits around house, indie, indie pop, pop and rock rather than a single-lane bill.

The Main Stage carries live music, while The Big Kitchen is used for chef demos, food sessions, cookery classes and chef Q&As. The Outpost is also listed as a stage. Street food, local producers, family activities, kids’ entertainment, arts and crafts, funfair-style attractions and the Big Top games are part of the wider programme.

Who Is It For?

The crowd spans music, food and family audiences. There is no blanket age restriction.

Children under 5 go free but still need a ticket. Teens aged 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 25 or over, with a maximum of two teens per adult. The campsites are child-friendly, and family facilities cover baby-changing and quiet feeding areas. Microwaves are available for baby food or bottles.

The Venue and Site

Alex James’ working Cotswolds farm puts the site outside Kingham at OX7 6UJ, about four miles southwest of Chipping Norton. The festival advises following the yellow AA signs rather than sat nav near the site.

Camping covers general camping, accessible camping and live-in vehicle pitches, with Apple Field and boutique camping also listed. Camping tickets cover the full weekend. Some tickets include Thursday early entry, and there are no single-night camping tickets.

Campsite facilities include toilets and showers. Accessible facilities include campsite toilets, showers and water points, plus an HDU / changing places unit, a buggy shuttle between accessible camping and the Village Green entrance, and Blue Badge parking. Luxury flushing toilets via When Nature Calls are available for camping ticket holders.

Travel

Kingham is the nearest rail stop. It sits about 0.2 miles / 0.3 km from the site, around a 3-minute walk.

• Rail: Kingham station is the closest station, with London Paddington to Kingham listed at about 90 minutes by train.
• Road: Drivers are advised to follow the yellow AA festival signs near the site rather than relying on sat nav.
• Nearby roads: Access references include the A436 north boundary, A361 east boundary, A424 west boundary, the B4450 / Lyneham Road route via the Bledington turn at the A436/B4450 corner, and Foscot Road off the A424.
• Parking: Parking is separate from admission tickets. Blue Badge parking is available, with day accessible parking by the Day Visitor Entrance via Red Gate and camping accessible parking by the Accessible Campsite via Blue Gate.
• Live-in vehicles: Towing vehicles for caravans or trailer tents must be parked in the public car park.
