About Shambala Music Festival
For 2027, Shambala Music Festival is listed for London, with a music bill spanning electronic, world music, folk and club strains from disco to drum and bass.
The scale stays comparatively small: 14,000–15,000 public adults, plus kids. Its own history starts in 1999 as 100 friends in a field; after exceeding capacity in 2005, Shambala took 2006 off and restarted in 2007.
In 2026, the founders transferred ownership to the staff team through an Employee Ownership Trust, making it the UK’s first employee-owned festival.
