Until 2004 Lytham St Annes was the home of a promenade concert every summer and this soon developed into the Proms in 2010 and by 2011 it became a three day event and then, in 2015 it became an eight day celebration in August, with its name changed from Lytham Proms to Lytham Festival. Venues across the city including Lytham Green.

2015 is the biggest year ever for musical celebration in Lytham St Annes and it takes place from 2nd to 9th August. The main event stage at Lytham Green plays host to many acts throughout the festivals. Concerts and acts confirmed include Faithless on 6th, Billy Ocean supported by Chesney Hawkes, Jimmy Somerville, East 17, Sinitta, Vengaboys on 7th and McBusted who are headlining on 8th August. The final evening the theme is ‘Songs from Stage and Screen’ and sees the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra joined by special guests. Other artists booked throughout the festival include Rebecca Ferguson, Dub Jazz Sound System, Phil Earle, Chris Mould, Joseph Delaney, Cathy Cassidy, Liz Kessler, Julian Clary and David Roberts, Phil Walker, Steve Shanyaski, Wes Zaharuk and Rae Morris.
