About Rebellion Festival
At the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, Rebellion Festival 2027 runs as an indoor punk music festival from 5–8 August 2027.
The festival began at the same venue in 1996. Recent official information puts the scale at over 300 live acts across six stages, while the homepage advertises 300+ bands and nine indoor stages.
It stays under one roof. That means the Winter Gardens’ venues, bars, cafes and other facilities sit inside the same complex.
Lineup and Programme
The bill leans into punk, alternative and punk rock. Stage names listed for the festival include the Opera House, Arena, Pavilion, Circle Stage, Acoustic Stage / Almost Acoustic and Rebellion Introducing Stage.
The Introducing strand began as the New Band Stage at the Pavilion in 2013 and was renamed Rebellion Introducing Stage in 2016. In 2024 it moved back to the Pavilion, with Sunday handed to Loud Women for female or non-binary acts.
The programme also includes a literary festival, an art & craft market and festival merchandise stalls. Acoustic sets run as part of the wider indoor schedule.
Who Is It For?
Rebellion is an all-ages punk event, with families and long-time punk fans named in the festival’s own audience information. Under-5s go free with any adult ticket.
Ages 5–12 are free with weekend or day tickets when accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. No upper age limit is published.
The Venue and Site
Winter Gardens is a central Blackpool complex rather than a field site. The festival takes place indoors across its rooms and stages.
Bars run in each venue, with additional bars including the Old Vic and Galleon Bar. Food and drink outlets include the Empress Coffee Bar and Bistro and takeaway food stalls.
The site has a first aid centre staffed by first aiders and paramedics, accessible toilets and lifts throughout the Winter Gardens, designated accessible seating in larger venues and a dedicated smoking area outside the venue.
