About Elderflower Fields Festival
Elderflower Fields began in 2012 as a family-and-kids weekender. For 2027, Elderflower Fields Festival runs from 28 to 31 May at Pippingford Park, Nutley, East Sussex. The festival moved to Pippingford Park in 2014, and its scale is almost 5,000 guests.
Lineup and Programme
The music bill spreads from acoustic and folk into jazz, soul, hip-hop, reggae, house, disco and drum and bass. Theatre and storytelling sit in the same programme. The arena names include Dragonfly Stage, Skylark Stage, Moonshine Fandango and Wow Pow.
Alongside the stages are live dance, kids' sports and movement sessions, nature walks and wildlife activities, arts and craft workshops, wellness sessions, and food and drink stalls.
Who Is It For?
The audience is families with younger children. Elderflower Fields is framed as a first festival for families, with youth music and dance activity built into the weekend.
All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 4 to 16 need a child ticket, under-4s go free, and children must camp with a parent, guardian or nominated guardian.
The Venue and Site
Pippingford Park sits in the Ashdown Forest landscape, with about 60 hectares of grass fields and woodland. The site has gravel roads and dirt tracks as well as open fields.
Weekend tickets include free standard camping for three nights. Boutique and glamping options are available, as are live-in vehicle pitches. The closest camping is about 100m downhill from the car park, while the farthest camping is just over 1km away.
Facilities include toilets, hot showers, hand-wash stations, drinking water points, a first aid centre, phone charging at the Info Tent, food vendors and bars, and accessible toilets.
