It all began in 2009. The Leeds based team behind Mint Club and Mint Warehouse – (who present one of the most forward thinking club nights in the UK – system.) had built a strong relationship with one of the pioneers of modern music Sven Vath, a legend in his own lifetime. Out of this relationship came a big idea.

Create an open-air event under the Cocoon banner in a fabulous location with just one stage that would present the finest Dj’s on the circuit supported by the best sound and the best visual effects and technology money could buy. Music and dancing under the sun (quite often) and under the stars in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside.

This was a shot in the dark, a huge gamble. There was no other event like it in the UK or Europe. No distractions. One stage, one big party that would juggle with your senses.
