About Bournemouth 7s Festival
At Bournemouth Sports Club, Chapel Gate, Christchurch, Bournemouth 7s Festival 2027 runs as a sport-and-music festival with a 30,000 capacity. The 2027 edition runs 28–30 May and is billed by the official site as the festival's 20th Anniversary.
Roger and Fleur Woodall launched it in 2008. The format is sport by day and music by night, with the Bournemouth tourism listing citing 3,000 campers, 460+ teams, 8 sports, 12 festival arenas and 100+ live acts and DJs.
Lineup and Programme
The bill leans into club and party programming rather than a single band-led arena. Music genres listed for the site include funky house, disco, party anthems, drum and bass, house, 80s, 90s, cheese, tributes and singalongs.
Named arenas include Funky Forest, Beer Tent, Bunker, Bubbleluv, Big Top / Headliner Main Stage, Cider Garden, VIP Arena and V.VIP.
Who Is It For?
The core crowd is adult sports teams, student groups and festival-goers. It is not an unrestricted family campsite event.
Under-18s may attend the day festival only with an adult aged over 21. They must enter before 1pm, leave site by 7pm and cannot re-enter after 1pm; access to the campsite, VIP Arena and V.VIP is not permitted.
The campsite is over-18 only. Under-18s cannot buy alcohol or other age-restricted products.
The Venue and Site
Chapel Gate is a sports-club site rather than a parkland showground. For Bournemouth 7s, camping and glamping sit directly next to the main arena.
On-site facilities include toilets and showers, food traders, shops, bars, free drinking-water points, phone charging and dedicated welfare teams. Glamping uses pre-erected bell tents, while women's-only camping runs on a first-come, first-served basis with 24-hour security also listed for those areas.
The campsite opens Friday at midday and closes Monday at midday.
