Beverley Folk fest is one of this country’s most popular festivals of its kind and takes place at the Beverley Racecourse.

Whilst remaining relatively small and intimate, if offers a programme of artists that some of the larger festivals find hard to beat. It aims to provide an eclectic programme to interest all age groups and interests.

Musical genres cover Folk, Acoustic, World Music, Americana, Contemporary and some Classic Rock, whilst it retains its roots in the Traditional music of the British Isles, the music is a terrific mix of new and old, big stage set piece performances along with intimate break out sessions.

But the Beverley experience doesn’t just include music. Over the past few years, it has added to its events focussing on the Written and Spoken Word, Poetry; Comedy and an increasingly popular ‘Festival Film Club. For the night owls there is The ‘Wold Top’ Real Ale bar - the perfect place to meet friends new and old. Where better to relive the events of the day – Yorkshire hospitality at its best.
