About AlderFest

Alderford Lake puts the festival field beside the water on Tilstock Road, outside Whitchurch. For 2027, AlderFest runs there from 2–4 July as a small-capacity music festival. The address is Alderford Lake, Whitchurch, SY13 3JQ.

The event dates back to 2022. Its music lane runs through pop, dance, electronic, house and UK garage, with a wider weekend programme built around the lake.

Who Is It For?

No minimum age applies. Anyone aged 17 or under must be accompanied by an adult over 18, and proof of age may be required. Water users under 18 have extra supervision rules.

The family angle shows in quieter spaces, a family-friendly layout and camping close to the festival field. Children of all ages can attend.

The Venue and Site

The lake matters here. Boat rides run on the water, with supervised wild swimming plus paddleboarding and other paddlesports. The Aquapark carries an additional cost.

Away from the water, the weekend includes a silent disco, circus skills and a stunt bike show. Camping uses separate tickets and covers tents as well as campervans or touring caravans, with no electric hook-ups. Toilets, showers for campers, food outlets, traders, accessible areas, quiet spaces and on-site parking are part of the site.

Travel

Alderford Lake sits outside Whitchurch in Shropshire, within reach of Chester, Crewe, Shrewsbury, Hereford and Worcester by the named road routes.

• Nearest station: Whitchurch (Shropshire), then a short taxi ride or free shuttle bus to the festival gates.
• Other rail routes: Chester is about 45 minutes by train to Whitchurch; Shrewsbury is about 20 minutes by train to Whitchurch.
• By road: drivers are routed via the A41 for Alderford Lake, with the A49, A528, B5063, A530 and A443 used on regional approaches.
• Parking: on-site parking is available.
