About Nantwich Jazz, Blues & Music Festival

Phillip Martin conceived the event after a trip to Howth in 1996. For 2027, Nantwich Jazz, Blues & Music Festival runs in Nantwich from 25-29 March as a town-wide music festival. The scale sits at around 8,000-10,000 people a day, with the 2025 edition drawing an estimated 40,000-50,000 across 30 venues.

It is not built like an enclosed arena. The format puts ticketed headline concerts alongside wristband access to pubs, bars and halls around the town centre, with the festival marking its 28th year in 2026.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans from jazz and blues into swing, rock, pop, indie, soul, Americana and R&B. Sets run at The Bank Stage and Studio Live, with headline concerts at Nantwich Civic Hall and other town venues. Wristbands cover access to multiple festival venues.

Bowers Row Car Park and The Studio carry food-truck points. There are three bars in the festival set-up.

Who Is It For?

The crowd is broad rather than specialist. Jazz and blues sit beside pub and club sets in rock, pop, indie and soul styles, so the draw extends beyond a straight jazz-room audience.

Age rules are venue-by-venue. Admission can also depend on venue capacity, door policy and dress code.

The Venue and Site

Nantwich Civic Hall anchors the main town-centre end of the festival, with other venues spread through pubs, bars and halls. The wristband hut is on Nantwich Square.

This is a non-camping festival. Facilities include three bars, food-truck points at Bowers Row Car Park and The Studio, and the adjacent Civic Hall car park.

Travel

Nantwich is in Cheshire, about 4 miles from Crewe and about 18 miles south-east of Chester.

• Rail: Nantwich station is on Pillory Street, about 1,900 ft south of Nantwich Civic Hall.
• Road: Access routes include the A51, A500, A530, A534, A529 and M6 Junction 16.
• Parking: Civic Hall Car Park is adjacent to Nantwich Civic Hall at CW5 5DG, with cashless parking and cash payment available. Blue Badge parking is available at Nantwich Civic Hall.
