Young Knives
Young Knives are an indie rock and experimental rock group from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, United Kingdom. The band forms in 1998 and remains active. Its line-up includes Henry Dartnall, Oliver Askew and Thomas Bonsu-Dartnall, who performs as The House of Lords.
History and name changes
The group begins under the name Simple Pastoral Existence before changing to Ponyclub. It then becomes The Young Knives after being notified of another act using the name Pony Club. In 2008 the band drops the definite article and continues simply as Young Knives.
Releases
The band’s debut mini-album, The Young Knives Are Dead, appears in 2002. It follows with four full-length albums: Voices of Animals and Men, Superabundance, Ornaments from the Silver Arcade and Sick Octave. Three singles from Voices of Animals and Men reach the UK Top 40 in 2006.

Young Knives are associated with art punk, art rock, electronic, experimental rock, indie rock and industrial rock. Henry Dartnall contributes vocals and guitar, Thomas Bonsu-Dartnall plays bass and sings, and Oliver Askew plays drums and sings.
