The Urban Voodoo Machine
The Urban Voodoo Machine is a UK band active since 2003. It is a seven- to ten-piece group associated with Dalston in East London and describes its sound as “bourbon soaked gypsy blues bop ’n’ stroll”. The lineup includes Paul-Ronney Angel, Nick Marsh and Slim.
Nick Marsh, known for his work with Flesh For Lulu, plays guitar in the group. The band also runs Gypsy Hotel, a club night held on the first and third Saturday of the month at Bardens Boudoir. The night combines live music with burlesque and alt-cabaret.
The group’s style sits across blues, gypsy blues, alternative, rock and cabaret.
