The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap are an Australian indie rock band from Melbourne, active since 2005. The group consists of Dougy Mandagi on vocals and guitar, Jonathon Aherne on bass, Toby Dundas on drums and Joseph Greer on keyboards and guitar, with Lorenzo Sillitto also listed as a member; he leaves the band in 2013. The band later becomes based in London.

Albums and singles

The band’s debut album, Conditions, appears in 2009 and includes the singles “Sweet Disposition”, “Fader”, “Love Lost” and “Science of Fear”. “Sweet Disposition” becomes an international hit after its use in the film (500) Days of Summer, reaching the Top 20 in multiple countries, and it also appears on Greek. The band’s second album is self-titled and arrives in 2012, with singles including “Need Your Love” and “Trembling Hands”. It debuts at number one in Australia. Their third studio album, Thick as Thieves, includes the title track as its lead single, which peaks at number 92 in Australia. The album later features the single “Fall Together” and marks the band’s first release in four years.

Touring

In 2018, The Temper Trap support American rock band Imagine Dragons on the Australian and New Zealand legs of the Evolve World Tour, with shows in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington.
